I have a problem with my '91 Panda driver seat, and would like to remove it and put one from another car. The trouble is that I haven't found any old Panda seats, so I was wondering if some other Fiat car seats fit in Panda (like Punto or Uno front seats). Thanks!

Simeon, I've a full set in the clx I've just broken.
I'm in Haworth, West Yorkshire.
Regards,

Thanks a lot for helping, both of you, but I'm from Croatia... :) I found some old Pandas on local srapyards, but their seats are in worst shape than mine so that's the main reason why I'm trying to find out if its possible to install different car seats.

As far as I know...

The only "straight swap" seat is from the Lancia Y10 - and they're quite rare anyway.

If it's just the base covering and foam which has worn/sagged, I almost certain you can use the the cloth, foam, and webbing from a passenger seat base (which is likely to be less used) - but not the back, due to the tilt lock lever poking through one side.

The base covering all clips together - with the seat tilted forward, unclip the bottom of the back piece, then the back of the base, etc.
Experiment with the donor seat first :)

The back is a bit more difficult.

Thanks, I'll try that! Do you maybe have any experience with changing the seat foam/filling (just in case I don't find any good replacement seats), or it's just not worth the trouble? I'm still a student so I'm looking for the cheapest way to fix it... sorry for being boring!

The foam and straps from a seat which hasn't had much use will put quite a bit of life back into a well used seat.

Obviously it won't do anything for the fabric, unless you're lucky enough to find the same pattern, and swap the cover too.

I'd expect it to be a reasonably cheap option.

Don't forget to experiment with the donor seat first: you need quite strong fingers to re-attach the clips.

I have dismantled a seat with a broken frame (to save the non-metal parts) and did use that webbing/straps on the seats from an old CL.

One day I may get the enthusiasm to change the foam..
