Is the car at yours? If so they should be able to access it there, don't let them take it away as that's when things can start to get difficult should they decide not to play ball.

I tried to get it checked over at my house but they would not have it, its gone now anyway....so now the fight begins.

I have it in writing from the insurance company that the car can be returned should it not be economical to repair and return costs incurred covered also.

Its just a case of waiting now, and collecting evidence of its value. New thread to be started soon regarding this matter...

Sorry gone a bit quiet, I have been waiting for a response from them to tell me what the settlement is. First offer is a joke at £450ish plus keeping car but there is no way in hell I would find one for that!! Waiting for the valuation but hope it isnt too much longer. Don't like the fact the car is not on my drive one bit!!

Will let you all know the outcome anyway.

Yeah true, they don't need the car anymore. Now its just a debate of the value, and they know I am keeping the car.

Ringing them tomorrow anyway to make sure they know I am waiting on the valuation through Fiat Motor Club so I'll bring it up then.

Ok just a quick update on poor old QingQing. I argued and argued value and eventually came to an agreement of £800. Car is on SORN till I can find the time to fix her. I think/hope its just a set of new shocks now but wing is all bent so that will need doing eventually I supose.
