Technical Head Gasket Kits

Hi all,
following on from my melodramatic blown engiine thread (which i will update later on) i'm just wondering about the aftermarket head gasket kits,... has anyone had any problems with them? theres loads on ebay, etc.. for betwenn 20 & 30 quid and fiat just quoted me over £80 for the OMP kit and head bolts

ohh same question for cambelt kits, Are aftermarket (eg..gates) generally okay??

Gates should be fine, we sold FAI gaskets at the motor factor I worked at, dont think we had many people coming back with problems, aslong as they are fitted correctly they should be fine.

thanks panda1408, guessed so much but theres alot out there and i dont want to put rubbish in, orders in tommorrow
