Panda (Classic) Restoring my Sisley

Introduction

I thought you guys might like to see my Sisley project in progress.

When I bought the car 3 years ago it had been attacked with bricks and so it had dents all over it! These have now been filled and I am in the process of painting it....Nato Green! (I know some purists will not be happy but I aim to keep everything else 100% Pure Sisley)
This has been slow as I'm using the car daily and I don't have anywhere to spray, except the garden, and I've been waiting for good weather.
I found some almost rust free doors at the breakers and mint condition boot and bonnet. Sprayed them today.
Got the 4x4 Sisley door decals.
Hoping to get a genuine roof rack.
Just got rear bull bars and have front one (a bit dented).

Still lots to do but getting there!
I'll add photos as I go.

enjoy!

Matt
Hi Matt...Good to see you on here after our chat on the phone..Got to say that i'm likeing the NATO green..(y)

Stick around on the forum and put a ad in the parts wanted...be good to see your progress.

Also if you want to meet up at some point we often run down to Hastings with the Manda Panda guys...

Kev and Heike..

Are you planning to ditch the door mouldings? If not mighy have been safer to drill out the mounting holes before painting, just incase u slip with the drill and ruin all your hard work. Love the colour

Door mouldings will definately stay but as they are still on the car I dicided to fit them after the swap. I'm quietly confident I can do it without mistakes and will paint the holes before installation.

It had the rear part of the drivers side sill done for the last mot.
The car was off the road for just over a year with the handbrake on so the rear brakes had new cylinders too... all done after I was reassured that the rest of the underside was sound. They were very complimentry about it.
I'd like to spray waxoil into the sills. Any tips would be appreciated.
Anyway, it seems I was lucky, apart from the few dents on the main body the car was almost rust free. Everything else has been replaced (doors, boot, bonnet) and anything that looks dodgy will be rust treated and primed before paint. Then stone and chip guard where apropriate.
Decals on the doors look really good I think. Pics coming.

I want to put a whip arial on it. can only find CB ones... can i use one for FM?
other than that I was thinking about some made-to-measure canvas seat covers... in green!
and maybe chunky tyres.... but which ones??? So many ideas/problems. Fuel filler pipe clash!!!
Don't want to go over the top tho!

After 3 solid days of stripping, sanding, spraying and re assembling I have pretty much finished!
