Would be good to know more about the 'Tacchini' model. Apart from mine and 'Grumbleweed' are there any more on this forum?
Want to find out how many were sold in the UK during its 12 month sale period and how many are still surviving out there. Does anyone have any sales/promo material or know any info or facts.
Thanks.. Paul

think Bianca's got a green Fizz interior actually with a tacchini carpet instead of the rubber floor.
erm, no useful info on the Tacchini though, sorry....there was a 750 in Euroland, that factoid any good?
there was 1 other Sergio on the forum at one point but posted once or twice then went away. Can't remember the username.

It was me, I didn't go away, just haven't posted anything in a while due to being busy at university. Anyway, yeah I have a blue one and I love it!

fair enough I suppose I can forgive you ;)

On a side note, I'm having some problems with it atm, lacking power and will stall unless it's completely warmed up 80 on the temp gauge. Any ideas?

I'd also check and adjust your dwell angle, assuming you have a mechanical dizzy, then check and adjust the ignition timing too.
Make sure you do this with spark plugs and leads in good condition, otherwise you'd just be polishing a turd, so to speak.

sounds like a lack of fuel. try cleaning the carb

Sorry should have said, the carb has been cleaned out with compressed air recently but the problem persists.

Anyway back on topic...

Other than the green interior was there anything else special about the tacchini? I'm curious to find out a little more about my little car.

Check the vacuum diaphragm on the distributor, plus the vacuum pipe going from it to the base of the carburettor. If these fail they can give similar symptoms.

I think these sensitive sergios are just complaining about the cold weather. The vacuum advance went on mine a couple of weeks back too, and I had a long episode of crud in the fuel system, and the exhaust midsection has been blowing all the time so nowt's run right anyway, and now I've broken the exhaust manifold fixing the midsection and I can't really tell if any of the other stuffs set up right cos it's running so rough:(

testing the vac advance is simplest, just pull the pipe off the dizzy at idle and it the revs should drop right off. Listen carefully for a slight blow on the exhaust, you'd be amazed what a difference it can make. Vacuum leaks at the inlet manifold gasket can be another source of mystery power loss, spray WD40 around the joint between inlet mani and head and see if the revs pick up. Carb icing maybe? with the engine cold look inside the airbox and see if the flap has fully closed off the cold air intake (mine's doing that at the moment, didn't put the hot air pipe back on when I broke the manifold:()
dunno, mine's feeling pretty flat too at the mo and I'm still trying to work out why, and won't be able to tell till I've got the mani fixed.
Good luck

My sympathies :) I had a whole load of issues with the exhaust, starting from the rear box, (it fell off) then the mid section split and then the manifold cracked, not entirely sure how. All fixed now though. As far as leaks go I've had a go with some WD40 and checking for bubbles but it all seems sound. The vacuum system also seems to be working. There is however an odd clicking I've not noticed before coming from the distributer now any ideas?

The panda's been fine in the cold before now (feb last year in guildford it was a dream in the snow) but not so good this time round, wonder if anyone else has experienced similar problems.

Hope you get yours back to good health soon, there are already too few sergios around.

It may be a plug lead shorting out, have a look in the dark to see if you can spot any sparks tracking from where the leads plug into the cap.
