Hello everyone.
I have a 1993 Panda CLX (fire inj)
It runs fine most of the time but occasionally it completely loses power for a moment or two. There is no rough running or any other in-between, not-running-very-well kind of activity. It runs fine, then nothing, then fine. This has happened while pulling away from lights and might result in me getting rear ended so obviously I want to sort it out.
It can happen whether accelerating, cruising, low revs etc. I don't think it has happened as the engine is warming up but I'm not sure about that.
I have changed all the obvious stuff (HT leads, plugs, dizzy cap, rotor arm, fuel filter, various old hoses). I stripped down and cleaned the throttle body and injector. I've put a load of injector cleaner in the tank. All these have improved the running of the engine but not solved my problem. :bang:
Any suggestions?
Would a dying vacuum advance unit cause these symptons?
Many thanks
