Hi everyone,
I have owned five Pandas in the past.My present car 1992 CLX I have owned for three years. Never used her much in the last year so thought I would make a start and bring up to scratch but looking at the present spares availability was quite a shock. Ok I am going back some five or six years but then I found I could get almost anything from my local Fiat enthusiast garage ,Even had a friendly scrap yard that always had around eight or nine cars with all the bits I needed. I had a look at it this week under new owners and they dont seem interested in the older cars now and it is like fort knox to get into where as the old guy that owned it used to let me roam around and take all I wanted. Really shocked at the price of bits on ebay and the few new parts around. Is it really that bad and to think of the thousands of pandas all over the world I would have thought
there would be an abundace of cheap parts. Anyway I will carry on and look out for parts and hope things improve before I lose interest. Great site this with some rally nice posts.

Not sure yet Craig but intend to check everythig out soon although the arms that connect the rear axle to the chassis dont look too heathy.

One thing came to mind today with this scorching hot day, I remember we had a similar hot day a year or so back so I decided to give the old Panda a good dose of Waxoyl. I pumped over half a gallon into every box section I could find. The next day me and the missus went shopping and left the car in a Sainsburys car park. On returning a couple of hours later as we approached the car we noticed passers by looking at the car and when we got to it I could see large puddles under the car I said to my Wife looks like the rad has burst but when examining underneath there was most of my Waxoyl on the ground. Really embarassing so I looked around for some sand but could not find any so reluctantly had to drive away and leave it
what a scorcher that day but I never expected that. I guess you have to wait a while in those temperatures for it to cure. I only hope the next guy never came into that space too quick or he would have slid straight out of the park again. I can laugh about it now but at the time it was terrible.:D

Welcome Dusty........you should be able to find help from most here on the forum..(y)

As for parts someone has just got a load of spares for £50 so it is possible to keep costs down or buy a cheap donor panda that is past saving..
