General Forum rules....

As we mentioned before, the Auction Watch threads are now down the right, and clicking on the ebay logo takes you to the filtered Auction Watch thread where you will see just Classic Panda.

I like that!

I like the first two lines of your comment there Ben..(y)...What a shame this was not pointed out by others because the picture that was painted was NOT that..Perhaps if it was all this could have been sorted sooooo much easier!!..The keyword is respect and i thankyou Ben for showing us that in your replies...So i take it that we can continue to "Chat".."Show pic's of days out"..."Pandas we see on holiday"...etc etc...with a "General prefix"...

New mod eh?????....Go on Ben spill the beans. Or shall we start a thread about that with betting attached....:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

kev

and on the flip side perhaps a but less negativity eh ;)
Oh, how great that will be. A forum on how to fix things. Will make our cars, Classic Panda's, and Fiats in general (assuming this is going to be happening in every section) look like **** heaps.

Whats the point in that then?

So whats the point in the thing you click when you make a thread saying if its Technical or General etc? I thought that system was there to help filter out stuff. Why these people who have been complaining about general threads not been told to go off and use this screening feature?

Seems some things haven't been thought out compleatly from my point of view and that this is going to affect the majority of posters in this section.

plenty of chat goes on in the other sections but based around the main purpose of the section.that is the model

heres another section you may want to visit https://www.fiatforum.com/site-ideas/

ive not been online so much lately so im just catching up with whats been going on myself however i think some of the pandaers could give things a chance

Can someone just clarify the implications of these changes to me. If I log in to the Panda [Classic] forum, will I still see a heading that will take me to all Classic panda threads? I'm actually not interested in other Fiats, and if I have to go trawling around a forum that has such a broad scope, I probably won't bother. Not a complaint, just an observation. I have a link on my desktop at work which takes me straight to the classic Panda screen, if there's anything new, I'll have a gander, then get back to work, if it starts to get spread out I'll lose interest.

of course
there was a time when it wasnt even called classic, things change ;)
now wheres my flat atlas

It would appear this is getting way out of hand

The only changes are:

1. Ebay listings are now removed from the one central thread and now listed down the right hand side. They must be posted in Auction Watch, but this is easy enough to do :)

2. Photos introducing your car must be posted in Members Motors. They will then show up at the top of the forum listing, instead of being dotted around the forum pages.

That's it!! Nothing else changes and really no need to panic :)

Yep, Marathons are called Snickers, Ulay's called Olay and the War Department's called the M.O.D. but they aren't actually any better for it.
If you didn't keep moving things around you'd still be able to find your Atlas :D

Well yes, but that's 2 mouse clicks more than it took before ;)

:yeahthat:

I'd also like to say thanks for all your help, assistance and clarification of bits and bobs over the last few days Ben. And I hope it hasn't caused much disruption to your holiday. Couldn't have all been done at a worse time really, lol.

Thank again (y)

Jon.

i would have thought you would have done a lot of the explaining for him to tbh as you have been using the other sections with this system in place for ages :(

Tbh Dave I didn't feel it was my place to do so. I didn't want to tread on other peoples feet, I'm also phone posting and just the few posts I'm making at the mo are time consuming, and I to was also confused about what the whole holabalo that was being made was all about.

Thanks :)

I've been trying to get it started now actually, but on a 9" Eeepc with a Japanese keyboard and an iffy "d" key, it just got a bit tooo tedious :p

Next week it shall have to be (y)

Weeeeelllll...

It's been interesting watching this one play out!!

I have to say I was amazed at the number of other FF members who have pandas and don't post on here, I'm looking forward to checking their cars out when I get time... The bar at the top of the section menu is a great idea.

The MM link is cool because we end up spreading our selves around the forum a bit more which can only be a good thing, all you have to do is check out the positive influence Arc has had to see why cross-polination of ideas is good for us. :)thumb:)

Ben has been really good about this and to be honest we maybe needed to get a bit of discipline as a lot of our threads were only coherent if you followed them closely with reference to others running at the same time!! (sorry, I'm certainly guilty of contributing to the chaos) not good if you're new to the forum and trying to work out how something works when all you can find is info on insurance!;)

To be honest I don't think this will completely stop and nor should it as we are very much a community but I find myself in agreement with all sides on this one.

What we need is some sympathetic and gentle moderation and I think it'll all be good...

I wonder what'll happen next?!

All the best and sorry for the rambling gibberish...

Luke.
