From the end of 93 on the CLX's were more luxurious, mine being an early 93, i think was a platform to build on, because it was the time when the new emmison regs came in, fuel injection and cat converters... i think it was kind of a mad dash to meet the regulations. then when they had engine stuff sorted they sprucced it up a bit, centre console and cable gear change instead of rods.

On a similar topic, were all standard Mk 2 4x4s 'S'? Only asking as ours is and I've often wondered this. 'S' was apparently quite luxurious as it came with a clock

Also comes with plastic covers which go over the rear wheel arch liners inside, so passengers in the back with workmans bums (like me) don't get a nasty cold shock as flesh hits metal
