Collected at noon today, no problems after I'd worked out how to attach the solid towing bar to the sump guard to tow the car.

Didn't get any pics of the collection as we were on a time constraint like I am now, but have enough time to load a few pics, and a video of the engine, got it running, just.

Will do a full update when I get some time (y)

All I say is that driving with the bullbars on the front gives the car a longer, heavier, Tank-ier feel! I like it :devil:

Ok, as your so desperate Kev. Phone post, so ignore all the following typo's.

Just sat down with all of the paper work the cars come with (loads). Got practically all the MOT's for the last 10+ years that the gentle man I've brought it off of has had it for! Part service history etc etc. I felt bad in a way because the elderly bloke I brought the Sisley from was saying how he used to servicw it every 6months or 5k, and it really does show this!

Body work is really good (in comparison to my origional Sisley which isn't to bad). Only rust is that on the bonnet and a tad near the lower hinge on the drivers door.

She seems to drive well (from the few hundred meters I've driven her around the farm) and gearbox is sweet!

The interior is fairly tidy, just a few bits I want to do to make it a bit neater, but concidering its got an extra 30k on the clock conpaired to origional Sisley, the condition is amazing and she really looks it.

Only slightly negative comment it you can see where some welding has been done on nearside sill. Other than that, really pleased with her!

More pics to come.

How did your weekend go, Jon?

Been tinkering with your 4x4's I bet....!:)

I havn't had time to tinker unfoerunatly. Been busy all weekend at work, and for the mo the new Sisley is staying in Norwich, so no can't do anything with her at the weekends. will be having a good tinker tomorrow morning though, as i've no lectures. Just seen weather forecast though, and says rain at noon, so might not get as much as I want done. Need to put her battery on charge aswell, as shes almost dead.

All Fun Fun Fun :D

Well, it would seem that someone isn't happy that I've brought this Sisley. Some physco is France has sent me these two messages :eek:

hello mate, first i want to congratulate u for your last bought.
i was watching the item u just bought, cause i was interested in it as well, but due to modem problem i was out of the web for a few days and it cost me a panda 4x4 sisley.
the reason im sending u this message is because i was checking your profile and i find out u have too more at home (congratulations again) and you need parts.

And

my interest on that car was huge because i had one just like that even same color but unfortunetly it was stolen and i never saw it again. i was searching for one to restore and prepair it for the next 20 years.
i already have too dead ones(not sisley model) for parts.
i was ready to start and u "took it from me".
so if u can think 2 times before start to break that car down in pieces.
im still interested in that car, im sure we could be able to make everybody happy.
im sure i can get u all parts you need but only u could get me the model i need.
really, think about it and let me know.
please

:eek::eek::eek::eek:

Tempted to email back with the following;

Dear '********2008'

Thank you for your recent messages of concern. Unfortunatly the car is no more. I brought the car for a video piece I've been doing for a peice of media studies course work at my college. In the filming we blew the car up and it is now a burnt out wreck, with no doors or boot as they flew off during the explosion.

All the best, theonlyjanb.

:devil:

:ROFLMAO:.....I think they must have used some kinda google translation...

Tell him he can have it for £2000....:D...Or mine for £3000...(y)

Don't quite understand his prob...there have been others on the bay..:confused:

Plus the steering wheel is on the wrong side...Re-direct him to Germany (Which are alot cheaper) or Italian ebay...(Less likely to have rust)

Was just reading a French Panda forum... There's some guy on it saying he missed a Sisley for sale in the UK because his internet was down for a couple of days. Apparently some psycho with 6 Pandas in England bought it!!..... :p

Seriously though he sounds like a decent enough chap, concerned about another Panda being broken for spares, no point winding him up, just tell him to be quicker off the mark next time!
