My ugly panda dump truck is now a pile of bits on the barn floor and its getting a face lift.
10 years ago when I made it (in a bit of a hurry) I blocked off some unused pipes. The coolant hose that fits on the inlet manifold still has an AA battery jubilee clipped in there.
What should that hose do? Cooling the manifold? Heating the manifold? Which way does the water flow? It obliviously isn’t vital but may help if I put it back right unless its just cabin heating. Haynes manual has disappeared.
Also, without starting a new thread, one exhaust port is a bit oily while the others look good. I think its cam belt end. I cant decide whether to have the head off or just leave it. Valve guides I guess, is that a common problem? Am tempted to whip the head off if only to clean out the oil gallaries.
Now busy making a fiberglass cam belt cover coz I reversed over the old one (10 years ago).
