An obviously empty car with a steering lock and still they try to get in. Why didn't they pop the glass like last time? (I've got a spare one of those)
At least the cars still there, a bit battered maybe but still in one piece.
So, a question to all you panel beaters out there, can it be beaten out?
The post itself is still good but the door access indent is chuffed and some how I don't really think this is going to pop out. Any ideas and suggestions most gratefully received.

Sorry to see such mindless damage...I simply can't believe the amount people are suffering at the moment!!!!

WTF is going on???? When you think about the amount of people on the forum and the amount of Panda's out there the percentage rate regarding damage is huge!!!!!

Hope you get it sorted.....kev

Geeeeeeeezzzzz that sucks !

I hope for 2 things

1) you can get it repaired ok
2) the ar$ewipes concerned get strung up by the festering dangly bits

Good luck with the repairs

It looks like it maybe easier to cut a section out of a scrap panda, and have it welded in. Thats going to be a pain to knock out, not impossible, but far easier to weld in a new section.

The mother ****ers

Really feel for you :(

I dread the day someone trys to brake into one of our fleet.

Hope it's repairable. The 'B' pillars seems to be fairly strong on the Panda's luckily. Can confirm this with the damaged done to Dad's Selecta. All cosmetic, but until you open the door and look, it looks like the 'B' pillar is buggared.

Hope its not to hard for you to get fix. See this is where I get panicy now. I've always fitted alarms to all our Panda's except the Sisley due to wanting to keep it stock, but wondering if I should concider to or not. Just hoping the Sisley didn't get attacked last night. Went out drinking with work colligues, so has been parked on our forecourt all night (still got to pick it up), well at-least its covered by no fewer than 5 camera

Jon.

My sympathies... :(

It is unbelievable how much of this is going on at the moment... It could be an absolute b***ard to knock that out but you could make a dolly out of the jaw bone of the culprit and use their severed leg as a hammer!!

I hope it's not too expensive and time consuming to put right...

Good luck and all the best,

Luke.

why should any sympathy go to the owner (who obviously has money as got a car in first place) this country concentrates only on the idle, brainless and offenders welfare not the victim.

That is exactly what I thought when I first saw it.

I was scared that going to be the case. The first problem will be getting hold of a scrap Panda (they really are rocking horse poo in the local breakers)
I also know my welding skills are not going to stretch to this. What really hurts is the car is so rust free all over with no welding on it at all. Then the fact I was already saving with the idea of getting a full respray over the summer. Looks like I'll be paying out a bit more to have this sorted.
Cheers everyone for the sympathies, like I say, I'm just glad it's still there and not burn't out over the fields.

Take it to a few garages for some quotes, if your getting it resprayed anyway, then wait and get it all done at once to save the extra cost of spraying panels again.

Gutted(n) That doesn't even look like a particularly effective attempt to break in, I mean Pandas aren't the most secure to start with so to do that ammount of damage and not even have got in puts that firmly in the mindless damage category, intentional or not! So sorry to see another tale of woe on here, just keep looking out the window to make sure mine's still OK:(
...yup, still there
never mind, looks like battle scars are going to be the big thing this season. Rusty doors are just so last year don't you know.

Oh my word!! Again. I am begining to get the impression that there's a gang out for our little cars blood!!

I personally wouldnt cut and weld anything in that case. It would open the car to rust in a normally rust free part of the panda! I am sure that a piece of wood could be slotted in behind and hammered to push the dent outand would be a far better fix. It wont get it perfect but you can use filler and a sanding block to flatten it out easily enough.

Just my opinion, but I am sure even if it takes a bit of your time, lots of money would be saved. And the repair will last longer too.

Hope you get it sorted anyway, I think security systems are in order if you keep getting victimised. I bought a cheap alarm, and so far its stopped a couple of incidents from going too far (and their the ones I know about). Also a security camera watching the car is allways a good bet.

What a depressing world we live in sometimes...

Found out why it's such a half hearted attempt to get in. Turns out they were disturbed by a neighbour about 1.30 in the morning. By chance bumped into our local "part time" police constable who says two other "older cars" had also been broken into on the estate. They had their tax discs stolen
Tax discs???? Just what is the point.
Anyways, cheers all for the replys. I'm leaving it as it is at the moment (the door still shuts and locks) till the weather improves then I'll have a go at bashing it out myself, well I can't make it look any worse can I ?

Old cars are easy to get into, then send off the tax and get some ££
