Hi folks, before I hand it to a garage, any thoughts on reasons my tail light isnt working although the stop light is.

Ive swapped the bulb twice (new ones) and it "looks" ok however no joy. Conections seem ok.

Ive no idea with electrics so me finding a power related problem is unlikely.

I need to get this sorted asap as a policeman pulled me the other night and this car seems to be in the same place on my way home most days at that time.

Check for corrosion on the bulb holder.

Is the front side light out on the opposite side of the car
(parking light - push the button next to the key and turn it the wrong way).

If so you have a blown fuse (why?). 11 or 12 depending on side.


Or, you've put the wrong kind of bulb in the socket:
two filament, "stop and tail", belongs on there..
It is possible to persuade a single filament bulb
in, with interesting results.


Failing that you have corrosion in the socket, as mentioned above,
or a "dry joint" on the circuit board.

Well start in the 500 listing as Pandas don’t have CANBUS wiring.

Unlike our classics where battery goes to bulb through a switch and a bit of wire I think you have a network and a CPU that decides what it does by magic.
