A bit of advise needed......The thrust bearing on the sisley is noisey.
Its good getting these low milage pandas but standing around does not do them any favours...

What i want to check......is the clutch the same as any fire engine clutch????
The clutch is fine but i might as well put a new one in if im going to do the thrust bearing..
My local parts shop quoted me £71.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ebay have them for £9.99 +£10.00 post.

Cheers.......kev

Don't worry PH; the only differences 'twixt 'standard' 4x4's and Siselys are cosmetic :) ...

... and KUDOS !

Hello Alan.
Clutch plate diameters :-

750cc FIRE = 160m/m

903cc nonFire and 999cc FIRE ( including 4x4 ) = 170m/m

Best regards.
Petel

As to the release bearing/ clutch kit, would suggest that the OP uses VIN to establish correct Fiat part number of clutch kit required and then shop around the factors for the best price/availability.
Rgds.

Hello Jon.
Contrary to popular opinion, there are various clutch kits across the range, though the plate sizes listed in my last post are correct.

There are also several different release bearings, some of which are interchangeable, some not.

Would advise anyone to go by VIN to obtain Fiat part number and then use this to check that kits offered by factors are correct/compatible.
Rgds.

Hi Pete nice to see that your memory is working much better than mine :worship:

Ordered a clutch for the 4x4...£19.99 +£9.99 del.
Not bad i thought as i was being quoted £65-£70.

The size 170mm is correct and the guy said the bearing is the same as std 2wd...had him check and re-check so hopefully it will be fine.

Cheers again.....kev
