General Lancia Y10 4x4 vs. Panda 4x4

Thanx. It is 1994 or 1995, not sure. There was a small change of plans and it's already at home. I will take some pic's tomorrow.

Most problematic spot except sills - right front doors, left are OK

Thanx.

Shock absorbers started working except one. Engine works OK now. I'm worried about gearbox. It was completly dry when I was checking oil level  (it's leaking at inner CV). I made around 5kms in total before I found that out. I didn't notice anything strange, except 5th gear and neutral were noisy. I put ~2,5 litres of oil in it, still not full. 5th gear is now OK, but neutral is still noisy at idle. I have to check rear dif

I will post some pics of mine very soon. Looks like a Y10 turbo rather than a 4x4. I decided to spray the whole car satin black like the boot rather than spray the boot body coloured like alot of Y10 owners do. Got some nice 6 spoke alloy wheels on it, I was going to fit 8inch wide ally cats but they are a bit excessive for everyday use.

That might be the clutch release bearing making the noise rather than the gearbox itself?

4th and 5th are whining and harder to select, so I think it's gearbox. Does anyone have a rev counter in panda 4x4 1.1 FIRE? What are the revs in 5th at 130km/h (86,7mph) or at 90km/h (60mph)? I might fit gearbox from panda.

I'm also thinking about painting whole car in black.

It is much better but it's still whining. I couldn't do a lot of testing as car has no insurance.

I forgot to mention that i love this car. I made 40km of offroading and it's great. I found out that it has same ground clearance as panda 4x4. It looks lower but it's not.

Interior is all cleaned already, but for now there is only drivers seat fitted as i have to do some welding on floor and sills. Seats look great now, only driver's seat and door panel are a little worn. At scrapyard I bought another roof lining that looks like new and some other parts from Y10 2wd with 60.000km ;)

I fixed leaking bearing and gaiter at driveshaft, replaced a seal at rear diff and did some other minor repairs.

I'm also going to fit Magnetti Marelli fuel injection from Punto 55, as it's much better than Bosch Mono-motronic (less hesitation, jerking etc) and I can connect it to my DIY diagnostic tool.

I don't have a revcounter in my 4x4 1.1 but I have an italian comparison between 4x4 1100 and Suzuki Wagon R+, from 2000's "Quattroruote" magazine. And theoretically it should be revving at about 5000 at 130 km/h (in fact it was unable to reach real 130km/h, although the speedo was showing more). At real 90 km/h it was revving at about 3500. The speedo was several %'s optimistic. It was in fifth, of course.
I'm not sure, but I think gearbox from Panda 4x4 may have different internal ratios than Lancia's. But it should fit.
Lancia Y10 4WD is rarer in Poland than in Slovenia, I'm afraid. I've never seen one:(

BTW: UnoDriver, PM me your mail, I can send you a scan of this comparison. If you want to, of course ;-)
