That was my origional Idea Trev, we have got a set of proper Panda Bar's, but we use them to regularly to be able to afford not to have one available for some time .

I was thinking of finding another pair, or single one, but they're not cheap .

Thanks for the bit about setting it back because of the bonnet. I was planning on setting is about half way along because I need to be careful of them shining through the sunroof (heard of another Panda 4x4 owner making this mistake ).

Transmission wind-up is definitely something you want to avoid. Think the guideline is using the Panda's 4WD for anything up to about 15mph, or essentially as far as first gear will take you.

Toyota surfs (2nd gens) can suffer from wind up, the golden rule was to not use them on tarmac in normal conditions (ie not icy), perhaps the same idea should be applied to Pandas ?

i thought my panda was broke when i sold it, knocked £200 off :(

there was something wrong with it, as it wouldnt disengage 4x4 but i could of said it meant to do that:devil:

panda in 4x4 good upto 40mph aint it?

It say about 35MPH in the book

Yes, only place I'm going to be using it is on grass, dirt track when needed, and proper off road.

Luckily when it done it this morning the car was empty bar dad and I so the Wheels could release the tention, but I can imagine it won't be doing it that easily with a car load!

I love a good used car. Park it anywhere and not worry about people slamming their doors into you as it's just a battle scar at the end of the day.

I'm really getting into this off-road malarkey, though. Having naughty thoughts about Defenders, off road tyres, snorkels, bogs and rocks. All I have for now, though, is GTA IV, which although doing a very good job of satisfying my odd urge to see how far up a pile of rocks I can get also makes me want to do it for real more and more.

Jon,

Any use ?

Trev

Unfortunatly not. I did have a look when they first came on .

Dunno why they say they'll fit a Panda cos the deffinatly won't!

Providing the 4x4 will be a toy now's the time to grab one, yes the rogue fund tax ain't friendly (well not if it's a post 2001 vehicle) but the prices have plummeted so you can effectively get the tax back.

As a toy you can get it on a low mileage insurance policy, and you won't be too affected by the additional fuel costs.

Of course if you get into 4x4 mode you will be the odd one out here, whilst folk here look into lowering their vehicles you will be after body and suspension lifts so you can fit bigger tyres

Just don't go over the top (those are 44inch tyres) :D :D

I've been offered a ride for the xmas run, want me to find out if you can grab a seat Jon ?

Trev (your Panda has no chance on their run as your wheels are just too small)

Thanks for the offer Trev (y)

I'll decline though, as depending upon when it is in Dec I'm either going to be studing hard, or working hard at work (even offering to do Christmas day for all the extra cash )

You'll have to post lots of pic's though! lol

Thanks again though (y)
