The Selecta's really getting me down. She over heated today after there was a loose connection on the fuse, but luckily didn't reach the red in the guage, got to about 110-115C before I noticed, wiggled the fuse (thought it had blown) and it came back on and cooled down.
But I now have a whining noise from the gearbox mainly when cold. It goes away eventually, and normally doesn't happen at idle, but when revved a little 2,000RPM> but is just concerning as I've recently changed the gearbox oil. I've re-checked the levels, and when cold, the oil on the cold levels on the dipstick seem low. So went to Fiat to get some more CVT oil, went to top up, buy this time the noise had stopped and the oil was warm, and when I check the level, on the hot side it was spot on the max.
Not wanting to over fill because of the damage that can be caused to seals, I'm a bit worried about what I should do. Might post a video of the whining on youtube.
Thanks in advanced. Jon.
