Yes, the discs will get some surface rust on them because they are made of steel. Not normally a problem though, a short drive will clean all the rust off and they'll be shiney again. It needs to stand for a very long time for the discs to get so rusty they need replaced.

Yeah, indeed with any car with disc brakes. If you look at a brake disc that's not been used for a couple of days there'll be a very small amount of rust on it. A week, even more, two weeks, so much they'll grumble with the first few presses of the pedal.

It's by no means a bad thing, however, but brake discs last longest on cars that get used daily, whereas if you use a car, say, every two weeks then the life is reduced quite a lot.
