How many amps is the panda alternator? I need a new one and everywhere i ring for a quote asks me how many amps it is..

Much as i like getting intoxicated on unburnt petrol fumes, breaking down all the time and having to charge my battery every day i'd like to get a new one asap :D

What the heck can you fry in a Panda[}:)](you can actually, the ecu if so equipped of course;)) unless it´s not built correctly. but adding a slightly bigger alternator shouldn´t have any effect.:)

All Panda's use a 45 amp alternator.

A 55 amp is the only upgrade available for the Fire engine due to the unusual mount (not sure which Fiat model)

A larger alternator will not 'fry' a vehicles electrics, just maintain a full charge more easily. I use a 120 amp alternator on my Land Rover due to having two batteries on a split charge system (one for the electric winch)

That´s what i was trying to say:D, whoever said it will fry things probably meant an alternator that could power half a city block which obviously the pandas engine wouldn´t even turn over let alone start up:p.

I got two batteries in my panda too ;p (don't ask! just don't!!) Well i replaced it with a beautiful shiny new 45amp jobbie. It always produced enough power before so I won't worry about it now!
