Anyone know of any Panda 750's for sale? Even if they have a frazzled clutch, I dont care =P I'll get it working =P
Anyone know of one?

I saw you had emailed someone on ebay about a PX.

As Charlotte said, why don't you ebay the Vectra?!?
It wont fetch much on Ebay, Cause of the mileage and the alty problem, The cars selling point is how it drives, It drives REALLY smoothly, So I suspect it's had a new engine, Or at least a rebuild.

Fix the Vectra. An alternator is not a difficult fix and it'll be much easier to sell in working order. Then sell it on. You'll lose out big time selling it as spares/repair given that it's only a minor fault. Quite why you've bought a Vectra in the first place is beyond me.

I'm not one for assumptions I'm sure somewhere else you said you were 16, right? So no lessons or test etc. In my opinion it would be a masterstroke to get a car after passing the test - that way you won't have a car sitting around waiting for God knows how long.

Just sell it! If you can't fix / afford to fix the alty problem / get someone to fix it for you then just get rid. Put it on ebay with a reserve and try & get at least something back for it.:confused: It's rare IMO that you get back what you paid / more back for a car.......... Ebay the Vectra & Use money / put money towards Panda................

Just buy a second hand alternator ffs!

They're not expensive and not difficult to fit. It will make your Vectra more sellable (if it is indeed the alternator at fault) and you'll get more for it if it does indeed drive "REALLY smoothly".

Or stick it on Ebay and let it go for whatever someone is prepared to pay for it. You'll be sure to get more than the £50 or so the scrappy will give you.

Now, stop dithering and get your ass in gear!

Or if your giving it to a scrappy, why not offer it for peanuts here instead!

I'll take it for the £50 the scrappy will give you for it if there's only an alternator problem

Thing is, If I can get him to accept 50 for it, Then all that means is I need £150 to buy it and get it back here...
I can easily get £150 from the veccy

As that 750 was in Swansea (same as me) I gave the guy a call just now.

He wants a £100 for her whole (because of the parts requests he'd had), and claims that the car leaks water into the car, she might use a little oil and that the clutch is so bad that you can see the fibres poking out from the bell housing!
