...but I thought I would let you lot know.

There are a lot of changes happening in my life at the mo and as a result I am down sizing, I am ordering a new car tomorrow as I need something modern, cheap to run and ecconomical and selling everything else other than the Italia90.

Which means that Willie will be up for sale soon probably early/mid next month

It's something I have thought long and hard about, he's been a most faithfull friend and I will be very sad to see him go. However with the exception of the gearbox he's about as good as he will ever get and I know that I will not be able to look after him as much in the comming years so it's best to let him go now than have him neglected.

Anyway as said I thought I would let you know. Tomorrow I'm ordering a Metalic Grey 57 plate 1.3 multijet dynamic Panda which will be delivered mid Nov.

Well, Alan, I'm shocked to put it mildly..

You've been a stalwart of the Panda community in my time here, I hope the grief that you went through with the Istanbul trip hasn't soured your view of the cars or the owners..

Peoples circumstances do change from time to time - I've had a bit of that myself recently - so I hope yours are only temporary and you'll be sticking around on the forums for a while yet, Willie or no Willie.

Take it easy..

Cheers,

Plug

Plug I'll be sticking about and will have a classic panda to work on for years to come as the Italia 90 is staying with me and must be the rarest of them all but is currently valueless. I have a lot of friends here and don't wish to change that.

This has nothing to do with the Istanbul trip whatsoever and plays no part in my decision, Yep i'm still angry about what went on with regard to Ivor's crew but the event was too big for them to have ruined it for me or the others, however personal circumstances have changed and even though I trust Willie implicitly, 70mpg and £35 a year tax and modern seats are inviting.

The BMW is also going, the Barchetta has gone to a work colleague I very nearly cried when that left the street  So Willie is the only other car of any value as such.

Ho hum, the world changes and we have to change with it

modern seats are inviting.

I can understand your thinking on that point ;)

Willie is the only other car of any value

and a lot of that is down to your high levels of care and ownership, one of the best 4x4 Pandas I've ever seen.:worship:

All the best to you Alan, cheers Damon

Hiya Alan. Been taking a back seat myself as you know for personal reasons. And I know we haven't had a natter in a while, but wanted to let you know I'm thinking about you and you have my number if you need a friendly chat anytime. It's very hard letting your cars go to new homes :(

Wish you well Alan, I had to let my new Panda go and one of my Vespas due to personal circunmstances, its not nice so I know how you must feel. But, hey you still have the Italia 90 and a new Panda to look forward to, thats not bad mate! Youll love the MJ, brilliant choice, get the skydome too!

Alan

Sorry to hear that you and Willie are going to be parting company... :(

My advice for your new Multijet is to get the sliding rear seat as an option. It's about the most useful option you can get, but the skydome does add class... :D

But the digi dash of the climate control will look cooler  :) it's been ordered and deposit paid (y)

Shame to see Willie go, but will also be intereting to see what he fetches. Presume he's going on eBay? I'll have a dig through my photos and see if there's any ones which you might want.

You'll enjoy the new Panda, very good cars indeed.
