General Ivor's off........

Alan, I found the right size grub screw which is now doing sterling service holding Ivor's gear lever on tight(y)

Glad I know what your talking about Damon :D

Your right Dave the least Austen could do is to join in after winning such a prized posession and the biggest celebrity car since Herby and Sylvia

 he has to join here first to find out all our ebay names so he don't bid against us

Don't worry, I gave him a list of the important ones

He will be along eventualy, he is quite a shy retireing chap

Ivor's finally back on the road - DVLA spent an age getting the documents through! As of Dec 1st he was taxed/insured and taken to his new home (cheers Damon for letting him have a rest on ur drive!). Thanks again to Alan D. for bring him all the way down - much appreciated!

Plans for Ivor - loads of Mutant ICE to go in at some stage - but first I need to stop the little red lights coming on! He's only lost power on me twice so far - overtaking a lorry at 80 mph and again as I pulled out onto Gallows Corner (a roundabout I have a history of Pandas breaking down on!).

Damon (panda-sport) has asked to borrow him for the Ace Cafe meet this month - can't make it myself as I'm required to look after my 14 month old son (who LOVES sitting in the driving seat!).

So again, a quick thank you to all who donated bits to keep Ivor going till I got him - especially Alan D.

Cheers

Austen

Hi Austen Pleasure to see you on board at last. Thought I got rid of the injector light problem as it dissapeared just before the MOT test on the Co machine

May be worth cleaning the O2 sensor or trying to clean the clips with electrical contact cleaner. Although I have the feeling that it was due to a certain someone treating Ivor like sh*t and driving like a lunitic  so may be worth cleaning out the SPI unit and throttle body. I never got as far as checking the ECU.

I cant find the thread where i updated that ivor came to live with me it was some years ago now then i had no money to spend on him now i have no time to help him, he is in my garden on the essex suffolk boarder anyone out there repaired to take this little car on and restore him to his former glory? would be a shame to see him broken with all his famous history.

Whats up with him?

poor ivor, at least he has a change of scenery, moved from the back garden to the front, as no one wanted him here he will get a wash and go on ebay, i hope some one will save him.
put some petrol in him and jumped him from a spare van battery and he started well for a car thats sat for years and drove from back garden to front, he had one flat tyre that i pumped up to 30 psi and a little while lated it went bank scared the sh*t out of me :D

I imagine he will get broken if ebayed. What's the interior like?

I may have space on the driveway for a winter runabout.

needs a good spray of home bargains mold remover inside . no roof lining as it was removed for the opening roof for the mc donalds ad, but damon did give me some out of a twin sunny i think its lost though now. if you missed it damon does have a spare free engine to go with him posted above. he will probably help with more bits where he can too to see ivor back on the road again. may even help transporting him if not too far.
