after changing the vac and adjusting the points gap, the splutter on my fire has gone down from very regular at 30 mph 2nd gear 11% gradient to maybe 1 small one every 4 secs.

(panda now wants to take on every car next to me at the lights, especially fat bmw's )

is there a direct correlation between the splutz and economy/performance? i cant think how, since f1 and rally car engines tuned for optimal performance are the worst offenders.
will getting a professional engine tune iron out the last splut, and is it necessary?
