Finally got the alloys on to fit :woot: DSC02005.JPG

But a little more grinding is required as when on the brakes they just touch the inner part of the alloy  DSC02006.JPG

The rear tyres were cracked so replaced with a couple of GT2's, the pics aren't that great as it's so bright  so will take some better ones later.

Just as an add on they would fit any other panda no problem, but as the callipers and discs of the selecta are larger that's why they are touching :(

Looking good Alan, if i was a little older i'd look at some alloys for mine. Guessing insurance would rocket up for me as i'm 18

That looks well Alan. :)

Ben, give your insurance company a call and ask them. Generally speaking as long as the alloys you put on are the same size as the original wheels it won't affect the insurance. I fitted Sei Sporting alloys to Sputter and their was no additional charge.

The trouble is, a lot of insurers don't allow modifications of any kind to under-25s. But if the employee is in a good mood you may be ok.

you could try telling a joke before you start asking about the possibilty of this costing you more.

Took some more pics today and T cut & polished the bonnet (only the bonnet). Think that must be a new hobby one legged t-cutting :)

I love those wheels

£1.00

Prizes so far are....

1 Selecta from EastEnders & McDonalds advert (as shown :) but the front wings & panel still have to be done before the handover, oh! and a small trip in Europe ;) ).
2 Ltd eddition VS Orient-Express train set from Hornby.
3 Fiat Forum T shirt.

The biggest disapointment is that the car after the trip will no longer be mine

Myself and Dave will be at Brooklands Auto-Italia on the 5th May and are at most Italian Ace Cafe meets the 2nd Thursday of each month.

it must be something in the air...

here's 'Lusty Lindsay' with alloys (cross irons that were never sold in the UK according to Neil (X/1-9 expert)) hope you like the look... I am now sated with panda mods. If i can just get that grill to fit... or get a better fitting one sprayed up...

Graham have a look at the grill and tell if it looks the same as the one you got hold of... cheers

@ Alan:
Bargain. I'll buy 10 please! (PM me with details of how to pay).

@ Tony:
Mmmm. Retro wheels look great on the Panda. Whole car's looking very nice in fact. MK1.5 Pandas look quite cool. I like.

@ Alan again:
Hey, why not treat Ivor to the MK1.5 style? You might be able to get Beevers to sponsor a brand new front panel. Just an idea...

I like too, Kudos to Sprox for actually doing one for inspiration :yum: it had only been thought of up until then... if only the grill had gone on as smoothly as Grahams. He said his used the screw holes like the plastic grill which mine isn't.

I would buy a raffle ticket but only if you can guarantee i will win the t-shirt, i can't bring another car home
