Friends,
In my Fiat Palio 1.2 nv, a coolant leakage is found through the a.c.condensed water drain channel coming out at the center out side the fire wall in the engine room. The a.c. condensed water mixed with coolant drops outside the car fron the normal drain pipe.
The reason is very clear that the leakage is through the cabin heater module.
The heater device I am never using, being in a hot country like India. Secondly, it is also a very tedious to open, disconnect and replace this module. So I am thinking to permanently bypass this module by linking the IN & OUT coolant pipes located in the bonnet/engine room.
I seek advice from experienced experts in this regard. Does it affects adversely to the car?
What happens it I do this? My technician adviced me to do this.
A prompt and positive response from you all friends is eagerly awaited.

you can do this. the car may run a little hotter as a result as the engine does get a bit of extra cooling from the heater system.

The only down side would be you would not be able to put any heat on the windscreen if needed to help with demisting, especially if where you live is very humid or gets a lot of rain, however you know better than I do what conditions are like where you live.

Dear sir,
Thanks for the prompt reply.
Could you please predict or throw some light about to what per cent the temp may go up, if the car runs at normal speed like 80 to 90 km/hr?
Regards.

Is there any bypass kit available for Fiat Palio 1.2 nv?
If YES, from where it is available?
