Hi guys hope you can assist.


My car has been to mechanic x2 and to radiator(new as was leaking) people 3x.

It overheats when quite quickly when in slow traffic(but not always?) and fan doesnt always come on anymore(it used to)???

It is winter here now so will be a big problem in summer.

Crazy thing is first the temperature valve had been completely removed, then it was replaced with a new one. Radiator cap has been replaced etc

It pressure tests fine at the radiator shop so no idea why this is happening.

Water pump seems to work since if we have engine running water flows through and out bleeding ports?

I suggest checking thermostat. Test and make sure it works, many have defects. If thermostat OK, check water bottle for bubbles, if there is bubbles or a little oil, or both, replace head gasket.
