Good day all.

My car started misfiring and the injector light came on. It is very low on power. It comes and goes at times. When it idles correctly and I pull out a plug wire or injector wire it idles better than when the problem is there. If have changed the spark plugs, but it still does the same. It will drive fine and then all of the sudden the injector light will come and loose power, misfire. Any ideas? 1.2,8V Palio

Hi.:)

They are basic motors.

The coil packs that provide sparks work as a pair.. so tend to kill 2 cylinders.:(

In your position.. I would plug an OBD reader into the car and read what faults are stored by the car.

Its a better starting point.. than just swapping parts ;)

Hi,I could not get someone to read the fault code via OBD.

I checked for spark from the coil wires.Cylinder one and for where not firing. They come from the same coil pack.I then plugged their coil wires into the other coil pack and they had spark.

I replaced the coil pack and the car is back to normal.

Good day guys,

My car is misfiring again,I need some help.

I've traced the problem down to cylinder 1.When I change the spark plug the car runs fine.It will do so for a while and then start to misfire, changing the plug solves the problem. I've removed the plug just after it started to misfire and it smells like fuel.No oil I can see on the plug.

Is my injector faulty? How can I test it?

Thanks in advance.
Chris
