Hi all. Recently replaced the head gasket and waterpump on my daughters Palio EL 1.6 16v. Now the stupid thing won't idle. It was idling before so it,s either a coincidence or I have forgotten or messed something up. I have removed the thermostat, don't know if that will make a difference. I'm sure its a post 2000 model with the integrated idle control valve, which I have cleaned out, not too thoroughly though. One surprising thing is that if you remove the plugs on the throttle body whilst it's running it makes no difference.
