As I have to replace the Clutch Kit in my Palio 1.2 nv, the Gearbox is required to be DOWN. For the the Gear shifter and selector Linkages are essential to be detached. I was under the impression that it could be done by just pressing PULL-PUSH way and the linkages could be removed/detached, but it is not happening like that. I didn't force to do it. There may be some technique to remove it easily .
Could someone help me HOW TO REMOVE IT?

Thank you all in anticipation.

It's a ball on gear box side and socket on cable end. They pop off but are tight. Get as close to the ball as posible, because the metal outer part could seperate.forked trim tool or two screw drivers(one each side of ball). The one shown in picture can be removed by undoing 13mm nut and remove linkage, but put nut back on gear box spindle so spindle has no chance of falling into box.dont know if it can but best be safe.

I could resolved the issue by a very easy way. The attached picture is a self-explanatory. Using a simple spanner it could be done.
