Technical Fiat Siena 1.7TD

Hi, can anyone please give me advise about which other models' gearboxes are interchangeable with the Siena/Palio models?

I have been advised before to leave the Siena's gearbox as is. For those not knowing... it's a Palio with a boot.

I agree with the advise, but the problem is that I do a lot of long distance travelling and at 75mph the car idles at 3500rpm.

If I can find a gearbox with a "longer" 4th and 5th gear that fits the Siena/Palio model's engine, I would be over the moon.:spin:

1.7td was not sold in India at least in Siena we got the petrol 1.6 and diesel 1.9 here, we just fiat UNO 1.7 non turbo, can't help sorry

The 1.7TD was sold in India in the Siena.The 1.9D was sold in the Petra and Palio.
