Hi all, I have a 2004 Weekend 1.6 and my clutch peddle is on the floor, it has no pressure at all, I have inspected every pipe, no leaks and reservoir is full, I did try bleed the system at the slave cylinder, by pumping the clutch, holding it in opening bleed nipple, no fluid comes out at all. What could I do to get my clutch to work?

Thanks for the info. I will try source one locally first.

I have a clutch again, after not finding a leak anywhere I thought of bleeding the system, I tried every way possible. I then decided to take the car to a mechanic down the road and within 15 minutes my clutch was better than when I got the car, I bought it in September. He said he reverse bled the system, whatever that means, and only charged me R100 which is about £6, a bargain in anyone's books.

Hi,
good to hear that..,(y)

reverse bleeding - drawing / sucking the fluid from the SLAVE cylinder back up the line.

I've done the opposite before and used AIR pressure to PUSH fluid down through the system, ;)

Could be just a temporary fix. I had to reverse bleed my car to be able to use the clutch but it only lasted about a week before the clutch pedal was too low to be able to use. I repeated that process about 3 or 4 times before giving up and buying a new master.

Just an update: Since the reverse bleed I have not had any more problems with my clutch, it is as good as new, I have done nearly 2000km and a lot of stop start traffic. I do drive with tools to do a reverse bleed, just in case.

- the bleeding got rid of AIR in the lines..

now it's gone .. there should be no chance of it returning.. sealed system,;)
