Here is another mind blow question..

Lately when the car gets hot like in jammed traffic the idle goes up to around 2500 rpm and stays there.....thats only when you touch the accelerator to move forward.....if you dont touch accelerator it stays at normal rpm..... the above only happens when the cooling fan goes on...when fan switches off its ok.....

Any ideas or help please.....

i have checked all fuses and all is fine......

IAC valve, either stuck or dirty.

(I used a spray bottle of ordinary carburetor cleaner with good results as well...)

Mine is 2003 model.

Cleaned everything but still the same.........

appart from the high revs....when you come to a stand still it revs up and down from 1000rpm to 2500rpm uuuupppp and dddoooowwwn the whole bloody time......

The Idle Air Control valve is integrated in the throttle body on models after 2000-2001.
So take the throttle body of to give it a good inside cleaning, or try another one.
