Hello everybody, I am solving two weeks problem with my Palio 1.6v 74kW model: 178dxd1a. As good electrician - I am desperate, so I decided to enter into your forum.
I am not able to start, if I switch-on ignition no sound from fuel pump is hearable. I have checked fuel pump, relay - all is OK, but I am not able find where is fuse for fuel pump. I think that problem is not inside main drive unit, because ïndicator pump light on the dashboard is shining after ignition for cca.5 seconds.
PLEASE, DO ANYBODY HAVE IDEA, WHERE IS FUSE FOR FUEL PUMP?
THANKS

is possible to have fuse for fuel pump between left doors?...inside column?

I live in Czech Republic, but car was bought in Italy. I have visited two services, but nobody are able to find out, what is wrong.

I looked at eper, but there is not version of my Palio. I investigated similar version, no doubt about pump fuse. I am repairing electronic like TV, audio etc. I have never mend car like this one. I have experiences with old cars, when we were riding as smile child somewhere near forest by car with battery, engine, similar charge alternator, without diagnostic, fuel pump...only karburator

Hello zvaty,
my German written OEM user manual (178, built in 10/2002) says that fuel pump fuse is located in the fuse box in engine compartement (black plastic box ~12x15cm area around battery and left fender/mud guardaner).

If I understand figure correct, you're looking for fuse Nr 5 (15A), counted from engine side and 1st row (battery side) (fuse Nr 3 (20A) just at 1.2 8V models):
1, gap, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7
Maybe some pictograms or a cross refernece list is printed inside the cap of the box.

Looked a little bit around and found at least this h*t*t*p*:*/*/*hotfile.*c*o*m*/dl/136069053/ba3bf99/Manual_do_Proprietario_Fiat_Palio_Siena_Palio_Weekend_e_Strada_2004.pdf is you could check site 185/310 Fig68 which is turned 90° compared to my picture. With google translator you may find the correct fuse.

Hope this helps. :)
