i have a problem with a palio here. its a brazilian model, 2009 with the simple (elx?) black dash.

since 2 weeks a fuel level/reserve light comes on in the lower left part of the dash. first it started flashing now its constantly on.
its an amber symbol with a gas pump.(not the injector symbol or something like that).

this happens no matter how much gas is in the car, even if its full.

i thought it must be some kind of electronic issue, but the thing is, the fuel gauge and fuel level/reserve light works just like it should (the amber dot).

i checked a users manual i found on the internet, but no mention of this symbol at all.

anyone have a clue what I could check?

I suspect the (low) fuel level device sending unit inside the fuel tank.

On the older models, you can reach it by lifting the rear seats, I guess it's still the same with the newer Palio's....

I have the same problem. What device needs changing. Do we have to replace the whole pump unit or is it a switch thing to replace.

Did you look under the rear seats?
