i don't actually know it's exact location (or even if it has an ODB2 connector), but regulations state that the ODB2 port must be accessible, without tools, and be within 2 feet of the steering wheel.

I have a 2005 Palio ELX 1.6. I live in south africa, and as far as I know, that legislation does not apply to us. And I still can't find!I've looked everywhere inside the car, under the fuse box, above, to the sides but with no luck.
Until about 2001-2002, the Palio has a 3 pin OBD connector indeed.
On lhd vehicles, it's located in the enginebay, just above the brakebooster on the firewall.
Hi, I am from India. I have got one preowned Palio Stile 1.6 sport (facelifted in 2007) 2007 recently. It is RHD. I want to know whether it has OBD port, where it is located? If it has whether it is OBD 1 or obd 2. For other vehicles in India post 2010 mostly OBD2 ports are available.
I tried to look under steering wheel, but I did not find it.
Can anybody help please.
Thanks for the reply. I don't know where the fuses are, but on right side i. e. on door side of steering wheel there is openable flap. It has many wires in it. Is it the same place? I shall try to post photo in couple of days.
