Hmmm...bad news for me .. I discnnected the -ve terminal of battery for arnd 48 hrs and then went for a drive...but still I have the same issue..accelaration goes down completely when break is applied..i need to switch gear to get back to speed...can u suggest if something need to do...

I live in Kochi- kerala India.
I have Fiat palio 1.9 Diesel 2004. Car has clocked 97000 KM. Since last few days i am facing starting trouble in my car. When i start my car after some days car cranks for sometime but dont starts. I used other battery to start my car and it started. This happens when my car is not running for @ 4/5 days. this happend @ 2/3 times. then I got my wiring checked. My mechanic told that wiring of auto lock was faulty which drains my battery. Auto lock wiring was removed. But after two three weeks i am facing same problem.
My car is also having the same problem of fuel pump sensor indication. I also need to start the car twice.
please help me what to do.
I dont think there is problem with alternator. My car battery is Ameron hiflow and its just one year old. Battery condition checked and it is OK.
Please help???????

First things first.
Have the ECU read for stored faults at an official Fiat dealer.

I disconnected the -ve lead of my Palios battery and left my car for 2 weeks.On a weekend i connectd it back and went for a drive and to my surprise...things were totally new in my car during driving ....i think my ECU was reset and car was retuning again...like a magic..my car was good in pickup..mileage was good and gears were all normal ...i drove more than 60 KMs in all kinds of good, bad and worst roads and my babe never complained on anythings.... I am loving this....

I need your valuable help ... i wld like 2 thank u for helping me suggestng ECU reset , after which my Cards major prblm is solved ...

.now I am noticing new issue ..... tht Pickup is low for the car .. speed at which i used to change gears are changed... i mean Car is not picking up at 3rd suddenly as before ,,,same in 4 also...

when it is a free road, I am able to cope up ,,but in heavy traffic i am being allowed to use 2nd gear only as pickup is not good and in 3rd car is hardly moving ...also car is jerking little in idling...can u help me sort this issue...I also facing low mileage....

Any suggestions pls.....

Might be EGR valve indeed, any red SES/injector warning lights on the dash?

EGR Valve cleaning is required after every 30,000kms

get it cleaned, if not already done. check the condition of the air filter?
