Posts: 10 Thanks: 0 Trader Rating: 0 ![]() | ![]() Hi, Just thought I'd ask if anyone can tell me where I can buy new headlamps for my 1972 Fiat 128 Saloon. It has round headlamps. I need British spec lamps not european ones. Anyone know an English website or company that I can order some through? I live in New Zealand and these parts are as scarce as hens teeth. cheers Alister

They looked the same but different lens patterns and the Special had Halogen bulbs. Fitting and shape-wise they are the same as 127 Mk1/Mk2 and Fiat 126 (as well as Maserati Biturbo). The easiest to get hold of are the ones for the 126 which are still available new from most dealers and good motor factors as they are made in Poland. Unlike the 128, the 126 had a sidelight bulb in the headlamp but they don't have to be connected for the 128. I'd suggest getting a pair of 126 headlamps so the lens patterns match. I am sure Ricambio can still supply them and would send them to New Zealand as well. Regards, Chris

The Fiat 126 and 127 have rectangular ones and so does the 128CL etc in the English market. The 126 / 127 headlamps won't fit in the grill. I'll keep looking. Thanks for your help.

If your stuck and want some original style Carello or SIEM headlights to suit assymetric globes, give me a PM and I'll forward my dads work phone number, I know he has genuine items in stock. SteveC

Posts: 10 Thanks: 0 Trader Rating: 0 ![]() | Re: Fiat 128 Headlamps Hi Tico, NZ is righthand drive like the UK. Europe is lefthand drive like the US. The headlamps on Euro spec cars need to be altered to light up the lefthand side of the road as the glass lens is cut differently (so I am told). This may or may not be correct. If your Euro spec headlamps can be used in the UK without modification and still pass the vehicle testing stations test then PM me ![]() cheers Alister
