I am planning a major service on my 1971 Fiat 850. (843cc engine)
I will get some help from a friend of mine that has more experience
So i have started to order the parts i need.

I can not seem to find valve seals for my motor. To my knowledge they look like this:

I can only find a part called: Valve guide

In the UK a 'major service' is a routine job, including changing the oil and filter, air filter, spark plugs, plus may also include checking the valve adjustment. There would be no need to get close to the valve seals. These are not disturbed unless the cylinder head is being taken off.

If you are removing the cylinder head, you will need a full head gasket set. This should include the valve seals if your engine has them. I would expect the engine to have seals (some engines were built without, but I think Fiat always used seals), so they should be in the gasket set. As it is difficult to replace the seals with the head still on the car, requiring air pressure into the cylinder to hold the valve shut, it is difficult to find seals separately for any engine.

One of the biggest names in engine gaskets is Payen. They list valve seals, all you now need is a local supplier.

I don't recall the 850 having valve stem oil seals.
Later developments of this engine such as the Fiat 127, 903cc did have.(afaik

I checked out the www.fiat500ricambi.com website which also covers the 850.
No valve stem oil seals are listed or shown in the full engine gasket sets.
As 'portland-bil'l has stated, they're usually included in gasket sets if fitted.

If you do remove the cylinder head e.g. to attend to the valves, maybe you could fit the valve guides from the later Fiat 127, 903cc engine or have an engine shop machine steps on your existing guides to accept seals.

2 things about the 850 engine, in case you didn't know.

1) the engine turns anti-clockwise looking at the crank pulley. (not clockwise as in nearly all other engines). Remember this when setting the ignition timing as there is (iirc) only a TDC mark on the pulley/timing chain casing. You can either use the Fiat special tool or make a mark 13mm anti-clockwise from the TDC mark on the pulley to check for correct ignition timing (10 degrees btdc).

2) There is no replaceable oil filter on this engine. Instead there is a centrifugal oil filter built into the crankshaft pulley. To clean this, remove the alloy plate affixed to the crank pulley with 6 off 10mm headed bolts. Scrape out any gunk in the recesses. This will likely resemble grey/black rubbery putty, perhaps 5-6mm thick (depending on when it was last cleaned) stuck in the outer parts of the segments. Rinse out any residue, clean the alloy cover plate and refit. You'll probably be able to safely re-use the 'O' ring sealing ring if un-damaged, I've never seen them leak, just get flatted a bit.

Hth,

Al.

Not a native English speaker...
When i say major service i mean:
-Main bearings
-Rod bearings
-Gasket sett
-Oil pump
-Carb gasket/repair sett
-Piston rings (Possibly new pistons)

As F123C mentioned, I also can not find any valve seals in any of the gasket setts i have been seeing online

Remove the rocker cover. The top cover of the engine, to reveal the valve springs. See if you can look through the springs with a torch. If stem seals are fitted, hopefully you can see them.

Or might have to wait until head is off. If none are fitted, then don't worry. If there are some, the ones for the later engine should fit.
