Fiat 1500 out and about

Thought I would start showing pics of the 1500 on some outings so it doesn't get jealous of the 500 and 850 who already feature on the forum.

Here's what's under the hood. Fiat 125 1600 twin cam with Fiat. 124BC carbies and attached to the 125 five speed gearbox. Cruises nicely and sounds good too.

Re: Fiat 1500 out and about

My Dad had a Fiat 1300 and followed it with a Fiat 1500 in the mid Sixties. The 1500 was the first car I ever drove on a campsite in France. So good to see your photos as I think they are good looking and distinctive. Great to see more than one there - they are very rare now here. The 1500 was quite quick back in day with 80 bhp and Dad gave it a good thrash. Our MJ Trekking Panda has 95 bhp but is driven much more gently and would not be as quick on B roads. More power to your elbow.

Re: Fiat 1500 out and about

Hi, Sir! I love these lines! I wish I could have a 1300/1500 one day, even if "just" the Zastava variant.
I would like to ask that what are the know weak points of them?
And what are the parts, what can be exchanged with younger Fiats?
And for last, what was the original engine, do you know fuel consumption for the old and the 1.6TC?
