Technical 128 5-speed

I have a 1300 uno 70 engine and 5-speed box, I'd like to install these into my 128.
is it pretty straight forward or what? cant find much info on this, heard some talk about converting the 4-speed box to 5-speed, but thats not really what i want.

so, will engine/box fit? can I use my stock shafts?

engine fits as I believe its same type as your original one.
think you can hook up your old shafts to uno box.
not sure though, never done this.
I hear yugo boxes can be made to fit, but since we dont have yugos were I live, I dont really know.

Best to choose certain later Uno 70 transmissions, as they have the single link at the bottom that will hook up to the 128's gearlever perfectly.

This applies to a 1988 Uno 70 that I worked on - the 1987 Uno 70 had the more common 'top linkage' box, which would require some adaptation to hook up to the 128's gearlever.
