General Too good to be true?

Hi all,
I have a chance to buy a 1982 fiat spyder for $500 and all it needs is a fuel filter. Is this too good to be true? Should I get it? Any cautions?

The obvious answer is yes. For $500 I'd be expecting to have to get more than a filter though.
