Fiat 850 Coupe

Fiat 850 Coupe

I own a Fiat 900E which is the van based on the 850. It runs pretty much the same 903cc engine as the 850 coupe except the 850 coupe had a 4 branch tubulat exhaust, a twin choke weber carb and a slightly higher compression head.

You can get most bits from Ricambio (most of my bits come from there) or check out groups.msn.com/amigofriends as most van mechanical bits are exactly the same as the 850 coupe and sedan. There aren't many body pannels available new, Hadrian do replacement sills bit everything else is hardish to find.

There are usually a good selection of 850 spares on ebay too.

Best of Luck,

PS. Is there anything in particular you are after?

I've got an '69 850 coupe, and finding the mechanical parts isn't a big problem, but it's the fiddly trim parts (like the plastic trims on the tops of the doors) which all seem to be cracked and perished on all the wrecks I've seen.... are just no longer available.

Headlights/tailights/bumpers etc all seem to be easy enough to come by... engine parts are not a problem.

i own a fiat 850 sport 903cc and restoring it at the moment and its a bloody hassle but not impossible , you can get most of the staff on eBay Italy but forget about trims, interior and engine block but every thing else is ok, for the impossible visit this guy in Slovenia called fiat zbogar the guy has a bloody museum if his willing to help you this is his number +38613663883 and his expensive :)

I have a 900E Amigo and I would agree that Ricambio are the best place to start. Rory Cole in the Fiat Club may also have bits. :)

hello there! im restoring my fiat 850. do you know where can i get the manual from internet? thank you

I *might* have a workshop manual for one of those sat on my bookshelf at home.

I know I got one from a car boot sale 15 years or so back but I've not seen it for a while.

I'll have a look later.

I've found it.

Workshop manual for the Fiat 850 , 850S , Coupe , Special and Sport from 1964 to 1970.

I don't want to sell it , but could scan/photograph any pages you need.

Hi, I have a autobooks Fiat 850 workshop manual. .This edition is from 1974, it is for 850..1964, 850s 1964-72, coupe 1965-72, special 1968-72, spyder 1968-72 850 sport 903cc 1968-72 and finally Seat 850 1973-74. I am looking for £15 including shipping.....alan

I did have an 850 S1 coupe, there are bits out there, I have found a stash of parts incl panels etc.

I was out in the States, west coast not too long ago and found numerous junks yards just south of San Francisco that had loads of 60's, 70's and 80's Italian. Most were rust free but in various worn states; still with good panels, interiors and mechanical workings.

Well there is at least 1 other 850 Coupe owner out here - mine is pictured below. Almost ready for the road, just need to repair the bottom tray of the battery box and sort some electrical gremlins (surprise surprise!!!) and get my 5.5x13 Cromodora mag wheels with 185/55x13 tyres on.
The car has been lowered around 3" all round, engine rebuilt to standard spec but with upgraded ignition and electric fuel pump.I have another cylinder head to fit which has been fully gas flowed and skimmed and another inlet manifold which has been polished and opened out to increase flow. I will play around with carbs once its on the road, have several 32mm and 34mm Webers from other Fiats.
I'm missing the combined lights/wipers dash switch if anyone has a spare for sale?:slayer:

thank's.

hi guys, i have a series 1 coupe here in malaysia, both series of coupe here are very hard to find, so far i know of only one roadworthy example and 2 in scrap yards, all series 1's.

its still under restoration with the body going for grit blasting and welding SOON :) i managed to find some parts here locally, but all the other stuff has come from germany/italy/france and the uk.... praise the lord for the internet !!

its paired with a 600d i just bought in nice roadworthy condition.....

Bloody awful! I ran a number of S1's over the past 20 years and eventually, gave up on them! Yes, body panels are out there but at times its akin to searching for that needle in the literal haystack!!! I travelled afar as the west coast of the U.S to find parts, as well as trawlling through Northern Italy. You can find fibreglass panels and engines bits if you are prepared to compromise on decent panel fit-painstakinly annoying adjustments. and non stop rust spot chasing!
