Hi can anyone say is the strada 1.7 d has the same motor as any other fiat listed on here as I cant find info on the fiat strada 1.7 diesel or maybe I just cant see it

Im actually after the timing or how to set the timing as my timing belt broke now Ive got a new one but I have no idea as to how to set the timing and I would like to do this myself:eek:

Any advise would be apprecaited.

Thanks

You mean the Pick-Up Strada?
Anyway, the 1.7 Fiat diesel engine is basically the same in every model the last 20 years....!
So: Fiorino, Uno, Ritmo, Regatta, Tipo etc. etc.
Even Alfa Romeo used this engine in turbo form until recently!

The Fiat Strada was introduced in Ireland for factory evaluation as with some other models. A lot of these limited prod vehicles migrated to the mainland, as is this one. They had a 4 door fiat 127 and Panda.
One that I tinkered with had reverse gear pinion failure like many fiats of that era. The car made me aware of Fiat diesel engines, I had a Tipo 1.9TD which was very impressive, now I have a UNO 1.7D with 405,000 kms on the clock and still calculates to 60mpg.

Any help greatly appreciated.

I think not in Ireland, we never had the strada, we had a RITMO
