hey, i own a P reg punto SX and for the last few weeks ive had trouble getting her to turn over. When she does, its fine but after a 4 or 5 days the battery goes dead and the alarm goes crazy so i have to keep taking it off to charge it.
Anyone got any suffestions as to what the problem may be because it is very annoying and means that I cant get to work when it happens.
I know its not the starter motor as that was replaced by a mate of mine as he is more experienced than me at mechanical stuff.
THe RAC did a battery check and the battery appears to be in good health.

If the battery is over 4-5 years, replace it with a new one.

I once had a problem like this, the alarm was faulty and was draining the battery... I'd get your alarm checked out.

Take a meter in series with the battery earth connection and check what the draw on the battery is. Disconnect stuff in turn to see what is causing the draw. Alarm would be the first suspect, followed by head unit.
