Greetings,

I have a 1980 Brava which has just been diagnosed with a stuck float in the carburetor. I never worked on a carb. Can anyone give me the steps to remove the carb top cover so I can check the float? It is a Weber 28/32 ADHA.

Hi,

are you in the states ?. I can only assume you are given the post title (car name, year and mention of carburettors dont sound like the modern version of the Brava) :), as the Fiat 131 was known as the "Brava" in the states. if this is the case, you could post in the "Other Fiats" section and put 131 / Brava in the title. which engine is it exactly ?. to get at the float should be simple enough, just remove the screws around the float bowl cover. be careful of damaging the gaskets though. there is a website at http://www.131mirafiori.com/ with many enthusiasts, they might also be able to help you a bit more, and may have dealt with that carburettor. Also, the guys at http://www.guy-croft.com/ would also be more familiar with it.
