this is my first post... nice site by the way...

anyhow, i have a fiat 128 sedan and i'm looking to fit uno turbo brakes all around... i know they will go in without too many problems, but i wanna know if i will have to swap out the master cylinder and brake booster (servo) too? i know that the uno cylinder is 22mm (if i'm not mistaken) and 19mm for the stock 128 one.

will those 3mm really make that big a difference?

alternatively, would i be able to switch to the uno turbo master cylinder and booster without changing the brakes themselves? i wanna know because my booster is shot and i need to by one anyway, but i don't really feel like buying it again when i get the brakes... hope that makes sense...

someone give a shout. thanks much!

cant comment on the uno brakes, however i recently changed the servo on my 1300 strada to an arbarth item, i went from i believe a 16mm piston as standard to a 22mm piston. Important to remember it wont improve your stopping distance but it will reduce the amount of effort required to press the pedal. If you are upgrading to larger calipers the master cyclinder will need to work harder to fill the larger caliper and to move the piston, if you see what i mean, the original master cyclinder will still work, but you may find in order to supply the extra fluid required to move the pistons will result in excessive pedal movement. The last thing you want is a car that you have to press the brake pedal to the floor before anything happens. So yes I would recommend upgrading the whole system for peace of mind.

thanks fiat man...

that was basically what i wanted to clear up... i didn't want to get the bigger master cylinder and servo and have it not work with the stock brakes... i know it won't decrease stopping distance, but i need to change the one i have now, so as long as it works in the meantime (just till i save up for the big brakes) i'll be happy...

cheers
