Hi,
I have been offered a 1961, red on black Fiat 1500 cabriolet with an OSCA engine in it, just curious to know what the car is worth. I have been searching for info on this car and have come up completely blank. Any help or pointers would be great.
Thanks alot everyone and hope to soon be a permanent member of this site!

Good question. Haven't got a clue. I would think it would depend on how authentic it is. In other words, was it built like that from new, or did someone just drop an OSCA engine in to an ordinary 1500. It's possible that like Abarths, that someone has made a replica. I think, that if you are convinced it's genuine then it might come down to how much it's worth to you personally as the market may be stronger in Europe than North America.

You could try the FIAT Club of America's web site as their prices may be closer to what you could expect to pay. In the meantime, I'll e-mail a friend in Italy to see if they could find out if there's a website somewhere that would enable you to check chassis numbers against engine numbers.

Not a lot of help I know, but maybe better than nothing.

it has the original OSCA engine in it as from the factory. it is in mint condition with low miles. I think the guy wants around 20,oooUS for it, but told me to make an offer

wow an original 1500 osca in mint condition! thats gotta be one of the rarest cars on earth. only 80 were ever built. $20k is a hell of a lot of money but there are probably less than 10 of them left on earth so i wouldnt be surprised if that is the market value. its always difficult to value very rare things, end of the day they are worth whatever someone is willing to pay. i saw one in italy sell for E18k on ebay, thats about US$27k.

Hi there..
if it is a Pininfarina 1500S it isnt so rare, as they built 3-4000 1600 and 1600S I think.. I eaarlier had a Fissore /Fiat 1600S coupe, which is really rare (20) and reckon the regular spider should go for 10 12 thound pounds?
New here.. Have a real OSCA OSCA 1600GT and a Fiat 1100SMM Pininfarina .. maybe not the right scene for that but thought id say hello!!

Hi,
My question is somewhat similar. What about the value of a
[FONT=&quot]Fiat OSCA 1600 S Fissore (early '60, mint condition)? What would a well restored car be worth paying for in Euro? grtz

I sold mine for about 15000 euro. should be worth maybe 20000 today.. about 30 cars were made. Three or 4 with OSCA badges, (still 118 S chassis though) 20-25 were exported to Argentina a badged as Cisitalia 85 DF (DerIvata Fiat) fiat made some as well but I have only seen one.. here a couple. last one was mine..

Hi, I was lucky enough to find a 1600s 118sa OSCA in France a few years ago. She is very origonal and in great condtion. I have done alot of research on this model in particular and discovered that the rarest of all the osca engined cars is the indeed the 118sa model with 1600 osca engine, early grill ( like the 1500cc) and offset air scoop. This was a transitional car made between late 62 and early 63. Not that many were made and very few survive. I think all the osca engined cars are a delight to drive and are coming increasingly hard to find and are incredibly still undervalued. Prices can range from £10,000 to £30,000. but when you take into account that all rare italian exotica is going through the roof then it only makes sence that anything OSCA and beautiful will soon command silly money for what was at the time of production an every day pokey little twin can convertible.
Love the chat on osca's more please. Rob

Hi OSCA1600, on the off chance that you receive this note, or someone else knows how to reach you ... Last year I purchased a 1962 FIAT 1600S Coupe Fissore. As you said, one of ~20. In my case, I have the very first one! I have since been trying to track down various owners of these Fissore cars. Please contact me if you happen to receive this, would love to chat. Thanks!
