Ok so Mrs Bravo has a 57 Honda Jazz 1.4 (working on bringing her to the dark side with a 500) that has a rubbing noise from the right wheel when turning right, gets faster as speed increases but not louder & the tyre is worn on inside edge,

Had 2 new wishbones & brakes as part of mot last year that are all working as they should

I've jacked up and had a nose but the noise isn't present when suspension is uncompressed, there's no play in the wheel or suspension, could it be wheel bearing or driveshaft/CV on their way out??

COULD BE..,;)

in this situation I've removed front roadwheels,
put axle stands under front structure - to support body

then run in 2nd gear , the 2 x front driveshafts will "idle" ,
you have the option of going up through the gears ..
0 -100 on 0.5 seconds:D

and even swinging steering lock to lock at any speed. as there is NOTHING in contact with "the road",
I actually found the noise was amplified by vibration, and was more noticeable in the cabin than stood by the hub..

you "could" put a jack under the wishbone to raise the CV , and put SOME load on the suspension also..,
but I'd do it "free" 1st,
let us know what you find, (y)

Thanks

Decided to put it into garage, at £170 for a non genuine shaft (£800 for oem) before fitting it's not something I want/can afford to be wrong with

Like the idea of that 0-100 though, quickest the little things ever been

Well after a trip to kwik fit *shudder* and a pair of paddy macguires, the back plate was catching slightly on brake disc, and also sticky top mounts

I also have HONDA JAZZ before,
but I change Freed now....
seems better
