Today in the news:
Halfords Holland went bankrupt....
No surprise to me, they weren't interesting in any way for years...
Halfords Holland was in no way to compare with Halfords UK though...
They were small shops, with no workshop, and mainly focused on bicycles...

not too dissimilar then,

UK stores are only useful for the "fitting service" on impossibly inaccessible bulbs,

Consider yourself lucky to have Halfords UK like it is!
I've been to many stores during our holidays in the UK, and was always amazed about the scale of the shops, and their inventory, we don't have anything like it in Holland!

Genius, managing to go bankrupt specialising in bicycles in Holland.

Except they don't...my ex took her Fiesta to them and they told her it was a bumper off job, and as such they weren't prepared to do it. Granted, it was a little fiddly to get the cap off - but not a bumper out job.
