My lovely little Stilo Abarth is fab, but I'm in the market for a second car as Mrs. Mac and I have a lovely child now. I have found that moving 2 adults, a baby, and babys stuff inc. pram fills my Stilo, so I'm thinking a larger car. I have been pondering a Vauxhall Zafira for a while. I like cars with lots of poke, and I don;t do huge mileages, so a GSi Zaf would fit the bill. A fully loaded 2003 ish one can be had for about £5000-£6000. About right for me. I'm liking the load capacity, and as increasing my brood is in the planning stage, the extra room would be good.

I know they drink fuel, but would be better than my Abarth. Needs to be roomy, comfy and pokey. Anyone got any experience, either of Zafs as family cars, or GSi as toys, or both!

Cheers

Andy

We used to have a Zafira, only the really basic one, but would fit 2 adults, 4 children and my brothers wheelchair in, so plenty of room, the very back sits aren't really for tall people though.

I remember getting a Zafira as a rental car on a work trip years ago. Not being a Vauxhall man, I wasn't looking forward to it at all, but it was a real eye-opener. Much nicer to drive than an Astra or Vectra, I came away impressed. This was only a 1.8, I thought at the time that a GSi would make a very nice car for the family man in a hurry.. :)

Go out there and test drive!

Cheers,

Why not get a shed of a car that's cheap to run...

A natural urge to protect his child would be my guess...

I had 2 Zafira GSi when I worked for Vauxhall and would thoroughly recommend one. There is nothing else I can think of for the money that will do what you want.
